This is how it starts. Malays have a beautiful cultures in wedding ceremonies. These are pictures taken during my young sister wedding ceremony. As usual in Malay cultures, there is a reception. First reception ceremonies will be held at women's parents house. The brides will be treated as a king, with yellow gold umbrella, as a sign of arrival of the king and the queen. There will a Kompang, musical tool like drums, that will be heard during the reception.
Then there will be the Pelamin, in which consider the throne of a kingdom, a new kingdom for the King and Queen...that will rule by the King, symbolically...and after that the king and queen will have a feast. FIY they are just King and Queen for one whole day. The day after, they will be like us, common people. This is the memorable part of a man in Malay cultures as wedding like this will be happen once...Unless he wants to get a second, the third, and the fourth wife..then he will be the king...the king in all men's heart...hehehhehehehe dream on my brother in law!!!
